Time:04:37 pm
There are two days left of voting for the 2007 Citrus Awards and the race is nerve-wrackingly close in some categories. This of course means that your vote could be the deciding, so hop on the bandwagon and send in your votes to citrusawards at gmail.com before Saturday, Aug 11.

More information can be found here.

I will be sending mine sometime tomorrow---I promise (I'm still reading and angst-ing over my choices!)

Same here.
I have this Text-Document with all the categories and nominees.
In the beginning it was around 600 lines long, I think.
To finally vote, I need to get it down to less than 100.
I'm down to 230 lines right now.
*runs back to reading and choosing*

LOL--MY word document just lists all the categories, and all but 9 of them are now filled in....when I'm done (IF I get done) I will just paste my document into an email!

*gives up for now---eyes are too bleary*

I copied the complete list.
Category Name, all Nominees for it, a SpaceLine.
And then I started to delete lines while reading.
I even managed to make a final decision in 14 categories already.
But some still look rather scary with lots of options. *sigh*
In the end, I guess, some decisions will be made after the 'I choose that story there, so I choose another one here' method.

Lucky you.
In the beginning I had no self-control at all.
Even when I already choose my personal winner, I started to reread THAT story.
Now I try to control myself and save these reading-marathons for later.

Yep, that's the point I'm at now!

Some authors and/or stories will still appear more than once in my endresult, but I did try to spread my voting a little, since there are so many wonderful stories and writers on that list and I simply could not just focus on one or two.

17 final decisions made. Document down to 158 lines.
The rest has to be done tomorrow after work. *sleep now*

You say '158 lines' as if they weren't 158 stories ! Thems alot of words!

Nope, not 158 stories.
There are also 30+ category names and 30+ spacelines included.
And of course the already made choices. So it's more like 60-70 lines aka stories from these still had to be eliminated. And some of the stories appeared more than once in the list. So it's not really that bad.
And right now: only 8 more to get rid of to have my voting complete.
*goes to get a very large mug of cappuccino before making the final decisions*
Hehe, and your name totally still appears on my list and it's already clear that it will stay be there, when the list is down to it's final results.

Awwwww. You are so sweet! I sent in my votes 2 hours ago. I just couldn't do it anymore, but I read almost every fic in every category. I skipped Crossovers and Seth/Summer because I just don't. do. them. The choices I made, however, were very very difficult. And I didn't vote for me even once!

I left out a few categories as well.
Not Crossover though. I remembered pretty much all stories from that category from reading them before (except one I think) and made my decision in less than 5 minutes. Just to spend the time saved by my fast decision rereading my personal winner *rolls eyes at self*. Yeah, I DO know that I should rather save such actions for AFTER finishing my voting. But what can I say, my self-control is not the best when it comes to OC-fanfiction.

My main problem was that after I would try to refresh my memory on a fic, I'd forget and keep reading all the way to the end. I read more fic in the last 3 weeks than I've read all year!

I didn't really had time for that with working full-time and often late. *sigh*

But I will totally go back to rereading now that I sent my votes.
The All-Series category alone can keep me entertained forever, since I think love all the stories nominated there and all of them are rather long.

Argh, I forgot to put out one of my alarms. I was so confused about the noise. *goes back to bed*

It's 3 a.m. here and I finally sent my votes.
Good thing tomorrow is Saturday so I can sleep in.
